Singapore and India may sign an MoU about cooperation in semiconductor as and when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the former. According to the source, Modi’s visit will boost its collaboration with global giants, including the US, Taiwan, the EU, and others. Notably, China is missing. The reason is that China will never like India to grow at its own expense. Singapore is already a tech giant having made huge strides into advanced technology defying its small size and small population. It is not uncommon in India to send their super talented engineers to Singapore for not only higher studies but also in software, computer companies. India’s push for semiconductor is an attempt to become a global leader in chip manufacturing.
Yesterday, Modi said that India’s economy grew by 90% against global growth rate of 35%.
