Mamata Is ‘Lady Macbeth’, Will Boycott Her ‘Socially’: WB Governor

Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal CM and TMC supremo, was called Lady Macbeth by West Bengal Governor Ananda Bose yesterday adding that he will socially boycott the Chief Minister. He clarified in the same refrain that he would not share any public stage with Mamata Banerjee who offered to resign from the chair of chief minister yesterday when she had been kept waiting for 33 minutes by the striking doctors defying the Supreme Court order to join their duties.
The state has been caught in the spate of agitations and protests since the horror-rape and murder of Dr Maumita broke out. What added the salt to the injury was high-handedness shown by the police on one hand and complete blind eye to the criminals laying siege to the RG Kar hospital where thousands of criminals destroyed the evidence. Even the President Draupadi Murmu couldn’t hold herself and squarely blamed the state government for the mayhem, echoing the censure expressed by the Supreme Court. Mamata tried her best to assuage the hurt of the common people but in vain. Everything Mamata said only aggravted the hurt.
