Champai Meets Modi, Marandi Queers Pitch

Champai Soren, ex-CM of Jharkhand, is finding his pitch queered by Babulal Marandi, first CM of Jharkhand and the tallest leader of the state. Although his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday and Amit Shah day before in Delhi had the decks cleared to pave the way for his entry into BJP, Marandi immediately flew down to the capital to apprise the PM and HM of the reverbations in the party against Champai’s entry into the saffron party. Returning to Ranchi from Delhi, Champai resigned from the JMM membership yesterday.
The problem lies with the BJP discovering its ears in the wake of drubbing in LS Polls biting dust. Among the several reasons attributed to is crass ignorance of the rank and file for the sake of ideologically inimical leaders. Even the RSS had turned indifferent making the spectacle of election forcing the leadership towards followers in bottom-to-top style. Hence the BJP leaders are now not only lending their ears to the rank and file but also becoming their voice. Recently the PM Narendra Modi has backtracked on his several promises earning the nick name of U-Turn master. Champai’s incident is not isolated. BJP has also scrapped the first list of candidates announced in J&K staring down the assembly polls.
Himant Biswa Sarma, Assam Chief Minister, posted a message on twitter yesterday that Hemant Soren, Jharkhand CM, had employed his police team for last 5 months not only to eavedrop but also to honey trap. Speculation is rife that Hemant was suspicious of Champai’s political switchover ever since he resigned crying.
