Hezbollah claimed to have launched about 85 rockets from Lebanon at the Haifa area in northern Israel on Sunday morning, following overnight launches at the Jezreel Valley. It is the deepest ever rocket fire by the Iran-backed proxy Hezbollah’s into Israel since the beginning of the war in October.

According to the reports, a teenager died having crashed his vehicle on the sound of the sirens in the early hours of the morning. Three others have also been injured as a result of the rocket fire.

Israeli military corroborated later the interception of sporadic fire of the rockets toward Haifa. In a statement later, Hezbollah took the responsibility of having fired the rockets targeting a Rafael defense firm facility in the Haifa area.

The terror group said the rockets were fired to avenge the deaths due to the pager and walkie-talkie blasts in Lebanon last week, which killed more than 30 members of the terror group and wounded thousands of others. The attack was attributed to Israel, which has neither denied nor admitted.
