India’s voters stand vindicated today to see that their government has made its robust economy grow by 90% in last 10 years against 35% of growth clocked by the rest of the world, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the World Leaders Forum organised by ET on August 31. Even as the ‘change the govenment’ has been the buzzword across the world wherever an election is scheduled, Modi added, India’s people have voted for continuity, electing the same government at centre for 3rd consecutive time. It has happened for the first time in 60 years in India. India’s success story is unique. So unique is the blend of stories emerging from the nooks that India’s mind is in demand everywhere.
Addressing the galaxy of leaders from across the world, he shared his magic formula “reform, perform and transform”. India is writing a success story of its own kind, Modi added. A few hours before he had expressed anguish over the slow judgements by the court hearing women-related cases. He was drawing an analogy with spate of agitations rocking Mamata‘s popularity in her own den.
