Vande Metro Flagged Off At Ahmedabad

Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service (formerly Vande Metro), has been flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. First of its kind in India, it  connects Bhuj to Ahmedabad, covering 359 kilometers in just 5 hours and 45 minutes. The regular service is scheduled to start on September 17. A ticket will cost Rs 455 for the entire journey.

Prime Minister also inaugurated several Vande Bharat trains besides launching Phase-II of the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro project.

Designed for inter-city connectivity instead of traditional metros commuting within metro and urban cities, Vande Metro is bridging urban areas with its peripheries. This train has been developed with cutting-edge technology and advanced features to cater to a much bigger range.
